Watercolor Ground, Transparent

Daniel Smith Transparent Watercolor Ground can cover, or “protect,” the pages of your Bible so you can use more intrusive mediums without bleed-through. Note that all grounds (also called gessos or page prep) can add a texture to a Bible page; they also should be permitted to dry overnight, and not be heat-set.

To use the product, apply the thick paste with a soft-haired synthetic brush for a smooth finish or a hog bristle brush or a sponge for a more textured finish. The Transparent Ground linked here will allow the Scriptures to show through; other colors are also available but may not allow words to show through.
